On Monday June 1st one of our local Black Lives Matter organizers, Clifton White was detained and arrested by the Albuquerque Police department after lawfully observing the arrests of four Albuquerque teens during one of our demonstrations against police brutality.
Police had no reason to arrest Clifton White. He was targeted by APD for his work as an organizer for Black Lives in the City of Albuquerque.
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is the only person who has the power to release Clifton and she continues to dwell in a place of comfort as a modern-day plantation owner, as was so eloquently expressed by Clifton's wife and fellow organizer Selinda who works to uplift our people with every waking breath she takes. We will not stop until Clifton is free. We will not stop until all of our people are free.
