Please join us for a powerful three state call to action for Rodney Applewhite
Rodney Applewhite was from South Bend, Indiana - where he began his cross-country road trip to Phoenix, Arizona.
Rodney was murdered just outside Los Lunas, New Mexico by New Mexico State Police at 8:32 am. When Rodney didn't arrive to Phoenix on time, his family read online that an unarmed Black man was shot by police. It took NMSP over 9 hours to notify his family.
We demand the New Mexico State Police immediately release any and all video footage and evidence of the traffic stop to Rodney's family.

South Bend, Indiana: 5:30pm (local time)- Full Virtual Action, will be live streamed on the Facebook event page. Rodney's home state will be issuing a public statement of solidarity and a demand for accountability.
Phoenix, Arizona: 3:30pm (local time) Virtual Press Conference, will be live-streamed on the Facebook event page. Rodney's family, Mother, Sister, Aunt and cousins live in Arizona. Organizers along with Rodney's family will be holding a press conference to demand accountability.
Santa Fe, New Mexico: 3:30pm (local time) On the Ground and Virtual Action, COVID safe car rally. Meet up at DeVargas Shopping Mall at 3:15pm - once drivers from ABQ arrive, we'll give an overview of the action

How to participate in a covid safe car rally:
* Stay in your vehicle at all times
*Keep your mask on always
*Keep your windows up
*Make signs and place them on your vehicle or you can use Window Paint
*Use megaphones/speakers/car horns to create noise disruption
*Our volunteers will be available to support with any further logistics on the ground
*Rally point will be DeVargas Shopping Center in Santa Fe
